Lodging in Hood River

Hood River is a bustling, sundrenched little destination town during the summer with LOTS of people there for wind surfing/kiteboarding, hiking, biking, camping, whitewater rafting, fishing, etc. There are often weekend festivals and of course weddings, so it is definitely a good idea to get your lodging situation settled well ahead of time.

These are some of our favorite options: (From the time we had originally posted this information, we have been hearing that there are not many rooms left at the 3 original hotels-Hood River Hotel, Best Western, and Vagabond Lodge- for that reason we have added some other options....more hotels, rental houses//Please make reservations ASAP)

Hotels/Bed and Breakfasts
Oak Street hotel
Downtown Hood River. Close to everything! Highly recommended.

Vagabond Lodge
The Vagabond is a nice, clean, affordable motel located on the cliffs of the Colombia Gorge, right off of Interstate 84. Beautiful views of the Colombia river and easy (but driving) access to Hood River downtown. Recommended, but were unable to block off rooms.

Camping
There are national forest and state park campgrounds all over the Hood River area, but these are a few that are easy access to downtown and the wedding site: Viento State Park, Sherwood, Toll bridge state park, and FROG LAKE in parkdale among others.
Here is the link to forest service site listing all of the campgrounds, scroll down to Hood River area for the closest options:
